Gene Marchi has been a respected authority in financial and care management since 1975. He is a licensed California Professional Fiduciary and a charter member of the Professional Fiduciary Association of California, a professional organization dedicated to ethics, continuing education and certification standards. He has been appointed to serve as conservator since 1985, and regularly teaches court-mandated educational and ethics workshops for non-professional conservators. Gene is certified as a Registered Guardian with the National Guardianship Association and is a member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care managers. In addition to being a licensed vocational nurse, Gene holds his degree in Social Work from San Francisco State University.

Professional Affiliations


Travis is a licensed California Marriage and Family Therapist with over 30 years of experience in medical social work, hospice care, care management, financial assessment, advocacy, medical billing and hospital discharge planning. She received her first Masters from Harvard and her second Masters in Somatics and Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies in 2000; did clinical training at the Center for Somatic Psychotherapy and Pacific Institute; completed the Hakomi Professional Skills Training Program and became licensed as an MFT in 2008. Her clinical work is grounded in an integration of spiritual practice and Somatic Psychotherapy where she focuses on end-of-life care with the dying and their significant others.


davidDAVID LEVIN, JD, LL.M. (Tax)

David has both served as and represented fiduciaries since 2001.  A member of the California State Bar since 1991, David is a trusts and estates attorney with a primary emphasis on estate planning, estate administration, and mediation of related matters, and he worked for several years as corporate trustee in the banking industry. He received his B.A. from the University of California (Berkeley), his J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law, and his LL.M. in Taxation from Golden Gate University School of Law. David has taught courses on Wills and Trusts as adjunct professor at John F. Kennedy School of Law, he has co-authored Decedent’s Estate Practice, Vol. 7, a practice guide for California attorneys published by California CEB (Continuing Education of the Bar), has served as President of the East Bay Estate Planning Council and Chair of the Trust and Estate Administration subcommittee of the Alameda County Bar Association. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Senior Services of Northern California, the Supporting Foundation for Northern California Presbyterian Homes & Services. When not working, David enjoys hiking Bay Area trails, yoga, live music, movies and travel.
